5 Lifestyle Bloggers You Should Follow | In The Spotlight #1

Today I am introducing a new and exciting addition to my blog which I hope you will enjoy as much as I enjoyed putting together. It will essentially be a monthly feature of my favourite blogs at the moment – kind of like those ‘Monthly Favourites’ videos YouTubers make, except it’s about blogs and not products. And it’s text, not video. Let’s get to the point shall we?! After running a poll on Twitter (which is how I make all my important life decisions), I decided to name the series ‘In The Spotlight’. October’s focus is on lifestyle bloggers and in today’s spotlight we have…

Alternatively Speaking

First of all, how cute is the header?! What I really love about Britt’s blog is how varied her content is… my favourite post from her blog would have to be ‘Autumn Self Care‘ in which she lists some great suggestions about how you can take care of your mental health. I would really recommend having a read of it. I’m also hugely impressed by the fact that she’s taking on Blogtober in between everything else she does! I only came across this blog recently through Twitter but I am very glad to have done so

Cecily Rose Is Gold

As well as being a lovely, helpful individual, Cecily Rose blogs about lifestyle, DIY and fashion. On her blog you’ll find a series of life hacks to make your life 10x easier (and lots of printables!) so it’s definitely worth checking out. In addition to that, she also has a collection of useful resources for new bloggers which you can access by subscribing to her site which some of you may find useful. Cecily has recently added a section to her website where you can ask her questions about pretty much anything, from blogging to fashion.

The Navigatio

I also came across The Navigatio on Twitter… and I am so pleased that I did! I absolutely adore everything about the layout of this site, especially how Nele’s beautiful photography stands out so boldly against the clean white background. But it’s not just the striking visual effect that drew me in, but also the content. Nele blogs about her experiences, living and studying abroad, and I find it really interesting to read about life from her perspective. Nele’s Instagram is worth checking out too – forever wishing I could take photos like that… 😍

A Study In Skaarlet

Run by two sisters, this beautiful blog is full of charisma and humour. I love their writing style, which is personal whilst staying informative. On this site you will find a collection of posts ranging across the themes of Lifestyle and Personal Development and even Travel. One of my personal favourite posts on this site is about Overcoming Perfectionism. which I’m sure many of you will find useful.

Beth Sandland

Beth Sandland

Bethany’s blog is undoubtedly one of my favourites. I love her writing style because I feel as if her genuine personality really shines through it. Not only is the website aesthetically pleasing, but the content is highly engaging too, whether that be posts about experiences or advice posts. My favourite piece of writing so far on her blog would have to be Instagram Vs. Reality, which, again, I enjoyed because of her honesty. Would 11/10 recommend following Beth on Instagram too for gorgeous photos and witty captions if you aren’t doing so already.

That’s it – those were my 5 highlights for this month! Apologies to those who submitted their links in to me and I could not include this time around. There are so, so many fantastic blogs out there, each of which is so unique and wonderful in its own way but unfortunately, I cannot feature them all. As I said, however, I plan to do a shortlist of my top 5 bloggers monthly, with the spotlight on a different niche each month.

Next month I will be picking out my favourite travel bloggers – if you would like a feature, head on over to my Twitter and leave your blog link on this post.
