A little while ago, the lovely people over at Photowall sent me a canvas of my choice to share with you all. Photowall are a Swedish company that sell environmentally friendly wall murals and canvases, with high-quality prints from designers all across the world. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been redecorating my room. I had loads of empty walls and I was getting a bit tired of them -so a huge thank you to them for getting in touch with me at the perfect time!
I decided on their London Skyline 2 canvas in the size 110 x 70 cm, but the website allows you to choose between 40 to 150 cm, according to the space you have available. Though I chose one of the canvases (which are all 100% cotton), Photowall also sell wall murals. There are so many beautiful designs available, from natural landscapes to abstract patterns and everything in between. In fact, there were so many that I loved the look of that I ended up spending over an hour just browsing through them… you have been warned!
Photowall offer the option to purchase a do-it-yourself frame with the print – which I highly recommend because it saves you the bother of buying everything separately. I am far from being a DIY expert, but putting together this canvas was honestly so straightforward! My canvas came rolled up, along with a 29mm wooden frame and all the attachments needed to mount it, alongside a handy set of instructions.
As I’ve mentioned, the instructions were very easy to follow. The wooden frame had peel-away sticky tape which couldn’t have been simpler to attach. This was a big relief as I was worried about having to use glue… imagine the mess that would make!
After folding up the corners of the canvas, I folded in the frame sections and then screwed in the corner plates to ensure that the canvas is pulled taut.
And now all that was left to do was mount the canvas on my wall. I recently put up a string of LEDs around my room, and so I decided to position the canvas with the lights slightly overlapping it. It looks even prettier when it’s dark!
In all honesty, I was not expecting it to be this vibrant, but I’m delighted with how it looks in my room! The wall you see in the photo above was previously completely bare and this stunning print has really helped bring it it to life. I was bit hesitant on choosing this one because I wasn’t sure whether it would go well with the rest of my room (which is green) but I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve decided to keep the rest of the wall empty because I love the sudden splash of colour in the centre of the wall and I want to keep it as the main focus.
Again, I’d like to thank Photowall for sending me this stunning piece of art! I have no complaints to make about this product; it was easy to put together (though you might need someone’s help to put it up if it’s as big as this), with a set of simple instructions and it arrived within a week of my ordering it!
